Heraldry
As a member of the society of Heraldic Arts (S.H.A.) since
1997, I relish all heraldic commissions. This is where hand engraving
excels above any mechanical or computerised method as the latter can never
match the crispness of the angled polished cutting of the burin, or the
multitude of fine detail and shading. I particularly enjoy the challenge
of researching family crests, coats of arms and heraldic devices utilising
my heraldic library for confirming details both pictorial, text and
cross-referencing.
